Gibson become 2nd WVU player drafted by Eagles

West Virginia receiver Shelton Gibson, who left school after his junior season, was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the NFL draft Saturday.

The 22nd receiver selected, Gibson landed at No. 166 overall with the same team that picked cornerback Rasul Douglas in the third round.

Gibson caught 43 passes for 951 yards and eight touchdowns last season as a fourth-year junior at West Virginia.

The final day of the draft was uneventful for a few other Mountaineers, especially All-Big 12 center Tyler Orlosky, who showed up as a third- or fourth-round in several mock drafts.
