Since being drafted in the late stages of the 2025 MLB Draft, one former WVU outfielder is continuing to string together good at-bats as he gets more comfortable playing professional baseball.
Skylar King, a former WVU outfielder from 2023-2025, put together his best game yet at the minor league level after being drafted earlier this summer by the Boston Red Sox in the 2025 MLB Draft. On August 20, King went 2-3 with a walk, two triples, and an RBI for the Salem Red Sox. The Columbia, South Carolina, native is starting to get his feet under him as he continues to grow in his young minor league career.
