Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: the West Virginia Mountaineers have landed another transfer from an elite Power 5 program. University of Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver TJ Simmons announced earlier this morning on Twitter that he’ll be making the move to Morgantown to continue his football career.
The Pinson, AL native was rated a three-star recruit by the major recruiting services coming out of high school, where he recorded 20 touchdowns and 1,228 yards off of 47 catches in his senior season. Simmons enrolled early at Alabama and played in 12 games as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide, with most of his action coming on special teams.
