West Virginia is making its third appearance at AT&T Jones Stadium since joining the Big 12, the first coming in 2012 when WVU was defeated 49-14 by the Red Raiders when the Mountaineers were 5-0 and ranked fifth in the country.
Two years ago, in 2014, West Virginia scored 17 fourth-quarter points, including a Josh Lambert 55-yard field goal on the game’s final play to defeat the Red Raiders, 37-34, in Lubbock.
Last year, West Virginia produced a 31-26 victory in Morgantown when the Mountaineers held Tech to just 378 yards of offense - its lowest yardage and scoring totals of the season.
