MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — As a junior, Biletnikoff Award voters deemed West Virginia’s David Sills one of the three best wide receivers in the United States. Sills slipped a bit as a senior, merely finishing in the Top 10 of the vote while being named an all-American for the second straight year.
NFL general managers determined that there are actually 29 wide receivers better than Sills.
Sills, who ranks second in program history with 35 career touchdown catches, was not among the five West Virginia players taken in the 2019 NFL Draft. Nor was he among the 29 wide receivers selected.
