MORGANTOWN, W.Va – Eight members of the West Virginia University rowing team received the 2017 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athlete Award as announced by the CRCA Wednesday.
“The recipients of this award truly epitomize the term student-athlete due to the stringent academic and athletic requirements to be named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete,” coach Jimmy King said. “I’m very happy that our sport recognizes such excellence and I appreciate all that these students have done to represent our team so well on and off the water.”
This marks the third consecutive year that Deming and Morgan have earned CRCA Scholar Athlete honors.
