MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Juniors Michaela Abam and Amandine Pierre-Louis of the No. 1-ranked West Virginia University women’s soccer team collected three weekly honors today, including two Big 12 Conference awards.
Abam, a forward, was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Pierre-Louis, an outside back, was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. Additionally, Abam was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week.
Oklahoma State’s Jaci Jones was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week. The Mountaineers and the Cowgirls have each earned a league-best three honors this season.
