MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Rasul Douglas’ hard work has paid off. The West Virginia University cornerback heard his name called in the 2017 NFL Draft held tonight in Philadelphia, the senior going 99th overall in the third round to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Douglas is a long corner,” said NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock. “He is exactly what (Eagles defensive coordinator) Jim Schwartz likes.”
The East Orange, New Jersey, resident earned second team Associated Press All-America honors in 2016 after picking off eight passes, which tied Florida State’s Tarvarus McFadden for the most in the nation.
Douglas came to West Virginia in 2016 after earning All-America honors at Nassau Community College.
