The Butkus Foundation announced today the 10 semifinalists for the 34th annual Butkus Award, of which is West Virginia redshirt junior linebacker David Long. Jr.
Long Jr. is tied for second-most solo tackles (45) and tackles for loss (12.5) in the Big 12, despite playing one game fewer than others at the top of the list. On top of those numbers, he’s tallied four sacks and 68 total tackles. He is the conference’s only representative on the list.
