Serrano, who has won 446 games and taken two different teams to the College World Series as a head coach, will serve as pitching coach at WVU.
“I am extremely excited that Dave is joining our coaching staff,” Mazey said. “He is considered one of the best pitching coaches in all of college baseball, and his track record of developing pitchers at a very high level certainly proves that, having coached 19 pitchers that have pitched in the major leagues. The success that he has had in his career on a national stage, with seven trips to the College World Series, a national championship and earning National Coach of the Year honors, will certainly continue to elevate our baseball program to national prominence.
