MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Amy Cashin of the West Virginia University track and field team won the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Tennessee Challenge in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday.
Cashin and senior Megan Yuan capped the regular season for the Mountaineers, notching the top-two finishes in the steeplechase at Tom Black Track and LaPorte Stadium.
"Cold, rain and wind - the three elements that frustrate track coaches the most were evident today,” coach Sean Cleary said. “It was good to see that both Amy and Meg did not let this affect them. I am pleased with the result and know that we will see faster in a week.
