NORMAN, Okla. – No. 24 West Virginia built an early 16-point lead only to see 20th-ranked Oklahoma rally behind Peyton Little for a 57-54 win on Wednesday night in women’s basketball.
The Mountaineers’ 31 turnovers were the program’s most since 2012, and Oklahoma converted those miscues into 25 points.
Little scored 23 points, all in the second half, as the Sooners (14-5, 5-3 Big 12) erased a 32-20 halftime deficit.
“I’m not going to stop shooting the ball because I miss a couple,” Little said. “My teammates kept believing in me and knew I was going to hit shots eventually.
