Can Worley evolve into West Virginia’s shutdown corner?

Today’s video brings the third installment in the MetroNews countdown of the 10 Most Pivotal Mountaineers for the 2015 football season. These aren’t necessarily West Virginia’s “best” 10, or the ones appearing on those bloated preseason watch lists. But they’re the players whose production will hold answers to the biggest preseason questions.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jason Verrett and Justin Gilbert were the most recent Big 12 cornerbacks taken in the first round. Daryl Worley may soon earn that distinction.

Along with Oklahoma’s Zack Sanchez, he’s among the juniors drawing early looks from the NFL and could join the list of WVU underclassmen drafted in the past decade—Chris Henry, Adam Jones, Steve Slaton, Robert Sands, Stedman Bailey.
