Talk about staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, West Virginia is in the midst of a murderous October that continues on Saturday when 21st-ranked Oklahoma State comes to town for some fun under the lights at Milan Puskar Stadium.
The Cowboys are the second of four nationally ranked teams the Mountaineers face in a row this month, beginning with last Saturday’s 44-24 loss at 15th-ranked Oklahoma, and continuing with games at third-ranked Baylor on October 17 and at second-ranked TCU on October 29 to conclude the month.
It is the most difficult stretch of games a West Virginia football team is facing since 1992, a year before the Mountaineers began round-robin play in the Big East Conference.
