MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University volleyball freshman Payton Caffrey has been tabbed the Big 12 Co-Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 26, as announced by the league on Monday. She shares the award with Micaya White of Texas.
This week marks the second consecutive week and third time overall Caffrey has earned the award.
“Payton’s preparation and work ethic has led to her consistent performance,” said coach Reed Sunahara, who picked up his first Big 12 win this weekend. “She continues to work on all aspects of her game to help her team.
