MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University volleyball’s Payton Caffrey has been named to the 2017 All-Big 12 Preseason Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
“Payton did a lot of great things for us as a freshman last season,” WVU coach Reed Sunahara said. “It’s great to see her honored again. I look forward to see how she’s developed with a year under her belt. We have high expectations for her this season.”
A sophomore outside hitter, Caffrey was the 2016 AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year, earning mention on the All-Big 12 First Team, AVCA All-Midwest Region Team and Big 12 All-Freshman Team as well.
