SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Members of the West Virginia University football team broke from preparation for the 2016 Motel 6 Cactus Bowl Thursday afternoon to visit with patients at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
The visit, an annual bowl game tradition, brought smiles to all, as the Mountaineers visited the Hospital’s Child Life Zone and enjoyed fun activities with the patients, such as playing pool and making bracelets. The team also handed out WVU hats and Musket’s Big Adventure books.
“It is always great to see the smiles on these young faces when we visit Children’s Hospitals,” said WVU senior safety Karl Joseph.
