Cabell Midland’s Donahue ready for new phase, enrolling early at WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — It’s been a whirlwind year for Cabell Midland senior defensive lineman Reese Donahue who will enroll early at WVU and begin classes on Monday.

The three-star, instate product received an offer from the Mountaineers and quickly committed in late January, early February of 2015. He then finished his senior football season with 97 tackles, including 25 for a loss and 16.5 sacks, winning the state’s Stydahar Award (best lineman in the state) and the Huff Award (best defensive player in the state) from the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.

He was the first player to win both awards in the same season.
