Brown: ‘A lot of unknowns’ heading into the season, but no worries

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — With the season opener against James Madison University looming, West Virginia University football head coach Neal Brown said he’s not worried heading into his first fall leading the Mountaineers.

“Whenever the depth chart comes out, we’ll probably have four true freshmen and then two deep in the secondary. We’re going to have three new starters on the offensive line. We’re only going to line up and play one receiver that’s had any game action,” he said. “I think we’ve got some talent. It’s just some young, inexperienced guys. but the concern is how do they react when they are in a sold-out stadium and how do they react when there is some adversity.
