West Virginia Mountaineers offensive coordinator Jake Spavital is expected to be named the head coach of the Texas State Bobcats, as first reported by Bruce Feldman.

Under Spavital, the Mountaineers finished No. 8 overall in total offense in the 2018 regular football season, averaging over 500 yards and 42 points per game - an improvement over the 459 yards and 34 points per game in Spavital’s first season as West Virginia offensive coordinator.
