Holton has been suspended the last four games, in which the Mountaineers went 2-2 overall and are no longer alone atop of the Big 12.
Holton who is averaging 9.7 points and 7.5 rebounds a game, will bring more stability back into the press defense which wasn’t the same with his absence. Nathan Adrian replaced Holton and stepped up to the plate averaging 8.5 points a game during the four game stretch.
Holton’s return comes at a significant time, the Mountaineers are in a three-way tie for first in the Big 12 with Kansas and Oklahoma. Fortunately for the Mountaineers, Kansas has to travel to Oklahoma on Saturday which ultimately knocks one of them a game back.
