BREAKING: Florida State Football Will not Be Able to Play West Virginia on Sept. 5 in Atlanta

The Coronavirus pandemic has hit West Virginia pretty hard and, unfortunately, the West Virginia Mountaineers football season could not escape its impact. In a release today, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced that its seven sponsored fall sports will not start until the week of September 7-12 and that all non-conference games must be played on the campuses of its member institutions.

Effectively, Florida State will not be allowed to play West Virginia in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 4, as originally scheduled by the Peach Bowl Committee for the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff.

WVU does not appear on FSU’s updated football schedule and neither school has formally announced the cancelation of the game, nor has the Peach Bowl.
