In a move that should shock absolutely no one, the Big Ten has completely reversed course and decided that the money available is too great to ignore and they will now play football, starting October 24.
The league has decided that it will play eight games and is looking to hold its annual conference championship game the week before Christmas.
What la-dee-da, the league has changed course, righted its wrong and is now going to let the players play football, as long as they have rapid testing, among other protocols. Still, you and I can’t ignore that the Big Ten is going to play two fewer games than the rest of the conferences and that alone should disqualify them from being mentioned in the college football playoffs.
