Former WVU football star Beanie Bishop Jr. isn't quite leaving the city of Pittsburgh yet -- even if you don't see him suited up in black-and-gold on Sundays this fall.
After a standout rookie season in 2024 and a respectable preseason effort this past month, fans of both the Steelers and the Mountaineers were surprised to see the organization waive his contract on Tuesday as a part of the final round of preseason roster cuts. But less than 24 hours after the announcement was made, the Steelers decided to re-sign Bishop to the practice squad after he cleared waivers, according to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero.
