West Virginia (22-7, 11-5) is currently in sole possession of second place, two games behind league leader Kansas in the loss column. The Jayhawks (25-4, 13-3) play at Texas tonight and finish the regular season at home against Iowa State.
Oklahoma (22-6, 10-6), Baylor (21-8, 10-6) and Texas (19-10, 10-6) are in a three-way logjam for third place behind the Mountaineers, the Sooners having games left this week against Baylor on Tuesday and at TCU on Saturday.
In addition to Kansas, Texas plays at Oklahoma State on Friday night to wrap up its regular season.
