MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s men’s basketball team has another option in the front court moving forward.
Arkansas transfer Gabe Osabuohien, a 6-foot-7 junior, was declared immediately eligible by the NCAA on Wednesday.
Osabuohien joined the Mountaineers in August 2019, but did not have his waiver wasn’t approved until two days before West Virginia’s fourth game of the season.
“Obviously, we are all excited for Gabe and for our entire team,” head coach Bob Huggins said. “Our guys were ecstatic when we got word of his immediate eligibility during practice today.
