Abraham’s goal in 77th minute denies No. 19 Ohio State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — After the No. 4 West Virginia women gave up a goal on a misplayed clearance, Hannah Abraham’s header in the 77th minute pushed the Mountaineers to a 2-1 victory over No. 19 Ohio State in front of 1,763 fans on Sunday night.

West Virginia (5-0-1) extended its home unbeaten streak to 29 matches and improved to 2-0-1 against ranked teams this season.

Though the Buckeyes (5-1) were badly outpossessed and outshot 19-4, they deadlocked WVU 1-1 deep in the second half when Lindsay Agnew stole the ball and beat Mountaineers goalkeeper Rylee Foster one-on-one with a high-placed shot.
