It was West Virginia’s most complete win of the season - and perhaps the most complete triumph since the Mountaineers defeated fourth-ranked Baylor, 41-27, two seasons ago.
“That’s what it takes to come in here and win,” said West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen, now 10-1 in his last 11 games dating back to last season.
The offense hogged the football, ran it virtually at will, completed passes downfield with regularity and scored when it needed to.
The special teams, for the most part, performed solidly. Kicker Mike Molina was able to get several kickoffs into the end zone while also making a couple of field goals.
