MANHATTAN, Kan. – West Virginia made nine first-half 3-pointers and rolled to a 72-53 win at Kansas State on Wednesday in women’s basketball action.
The Mountaineers (13-3, 2-1 Big 12) used an 11-0 first-quarter run and a 14-2 stretch in the second quarter to lead 44-27 at half. K-State fell to 10-4 overall and 0-3.
Bria Holmes scored a game-high 23 points, while dishing out five assists. Holmes made 9-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-6 behind the arc. Freshman Tynice Martin registered a season-high 16 points. Guards Chania Ray and Jessica Morton each added eight points.
