6 Best West Virginia Football Players For 2015

The West Virginia Mountaineers have their fair share of impact talents to work with on their road to College Football Playoff glory in 2015, and these next guys are the biggest assets of all. Here's our list of the 6 Best WVU Football Players For 2015:

6) K Josh Lambert, Jr.

Lambert nearly had a perfect 2014, hitting 30-of-30 field goals, but had two blocked. His 16 field goals made from beyond 40 yards set a NCAA record for most in a season, and will continue to be an impact player in 2015.

5) CB Daryl Worley, Jr.

The veteran corner had off-the-field issues last year, but the 6'2", 198-pounder has terrific size and great hitting ability. He’s not necessarily a shutdown corner, he his speed and strength allow him to be versatile enough to effectively cover every type of receiver.

4) RB Rushel Shell, Jr.

Shell was West Virginia’s leading rusher last season with 788 yards and seven scores, and also caught 21 passes. At 5-10 and 221 pounds, he has elite size and great balance, but he needs to work on staying in shape - which is the problem that caused him to transfer from Pitt to WVU.

3) LB Nick Kwiatkoski, Sr.

The 6'2", 235-pounder had a breakout season last year, recording a team-high 103 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss and four broken up passes. He can play inside or outside linebacker, but his elite tackling ability makes him the anchor of the unit no matter where he lines up on the field.

2) QB Skyler Howard, Jr.

Howard stepped in for the injured Clint Trickett at the end of the season and was terrific over the final three games, throwing for 829 yards and eight touchdowns without a pick. He’s only 6-0 and 202 pounds, but has elite arm strength with decent mobility.

1) S Karl Joseph, Sr.

The 5'10", 197-pounder is a fourth-year starter, and recorded an impressive 90 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles last season. He's made his mark as a big hitter in the running game, but also has the speed and experience to make a bigger impact in the passing game this year as well.
