West Ham seek home comfort, on and off the pitch

Despite a last-minute win, West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic was in little mood to celebrate on Wednesday.

His side had struggled past Accrington Stanley of League Two with a lifeless performance that was rescued by a free kick by Dimitri Payet, who had been brought on in emergency at half-time as embarrassment loomed.

Rather than cup progress, though, recovery in the Premier League is of more pressing concern for the Hammers. After five matches, Bilic's side are 18th, having lost their previous two games by a 4-2 scoreline to Watford and West Brom, two teams hardly known for their free-scoring ways.
