West Ham player Hawa Cissoko is sent racist abuse and threats after her red card for punching Aston Villa's Sarah Mayling in WSL game... with the bust-up also seeing Hammers boss Paul Konchesky sent off for squaring up to the opposition bench

West Ham's Hawa Cissoko has received racist and threatening messages on social media after she was sent off against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Cissoko saw red in the final minutes of the match after throwing a punch at Villa's Sarah Mayling. The defender was then involved in an altercation with the Villa bench as she went off the pitch.

Hammers boss Paul Konchesky was also sent off for 'aggressive behaviour' after squaring up to members of the Villa coaching team.

Sportsmail has learned Cissoko has since been targeted with threatening messages, some of which were of a racist nature.
