West Ham hope to make progress on their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho after the Portuguese club's Champions League tie with Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday.
West Ham have offered £29.5million plus add-ons for the 25-year-old who is keen to move to London. Sofiane Feghouli is joining Galatasaray for around £4m.
It is understood that Carvalho is keen to join the Hammers after previously being linked elsewhere in the Premier League.
City, West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal have all been linked with Carvalho this year as they look for holding midfielders.
