West Ham defender Kurt Zouma sidelined for the foreseeable future after undergoing surgery on his knee, as David Moyes' side wish the Frenchman a 'speedy recovery'

West Ham defender Kurt Zouma is set for a spell on the sidelines after having surgery on a knee problem.

The Frenchman was forced off during the first half of the 2-0 home defeat by Leicester, in the final Premier League match ahead of the World Cup break.

He had been a key part of David Moyes' side until then, appearing in 14 of their 15 league games this season.

Zouma has been a regular presence in the Premier League for nearly a decade after spells with Chelsea, Stoke and Everton before joining the Hammers in 2021.
