West Ham confirm the appointment of Tim Steidten as their technical director after his impressive work at Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen

West Ham have confirmed the appointment of Tim Steidten as the club's technical director.

As reported by West Ham's official website, Steidten will be responsible for the Hammers' overarching player recruitment strategy and scouting department.

The 44-year-old will work closely with manager David Moyes and sporting director Mark Noble as West Ham look to build upon their Europa Conference League triumph.

Previously at Werder Bremen, Steidten joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 and received much praise for his data-led approach to scouting.

Following his appointment, Steidten said: 'I am extremely proud to be joining West Ham United, at such an exciting time in this Club's incredible history.
