West Ham manager David Moyes insists the club have an open transfer policy after describing comments from suspended director Tony Henry on African players as 'wrong'.
The director of player recruitment shockingly admitted to Sportsmail that he was trying to limit the number of African players at the club because 'they have a bad attitude' and 'cause mayhem' when they are not in the team.
But Moyes insists the club has always signed players based on their quality as a footballer rather than their origin and reminded reporters that he had tried to sign two players of African descent — Islam Slimani and Ibrahim Amadou — on transfer deadline day.
