I am not and never have been a fan of your Chief Sports Writer. He pontificates and is always in full holier than thou mode throughout his overlong, wordy columns. I don’t care a toss about whether or not we allow an England football team to play in the World Cup in Russia but I do not need his column to be used to spread his political prejudices. His comments about the Conservative Party on March 13th are outside his remit and the proprietors of your fine newspaper should tell this egotist to keep out of politics because they are too grown up for people like him.
