After a short turnaround, the Premier League returned to action midweek as the top-flight hit a jam-packed festive schedule.

Chelsea's shock 1-1 draw with Everton saw the Blues lose significant ground in the race for the Premier League crown as Manchester City stormed to a 7-0 win over Leeds to stay top, while Liverpool snatched all three points against Newcastle.
