Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals he's still hopeful that under-fire Jesse Lingard will sign a new deal - and backs Edinson Cavani to have a 'big impact' this season after he finally returns to training next week

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Manchester United still hope to keep Jesse Lingard despite the England international rejecting the club's offer of a new contract.

Lingard had a highly successful loan spell at West Ham last season before returning to Old Trafford this summer, and goes back to the London Stadium as a United player on Sunday having scored three goals for club and country in five games this season.

The 28-year-old has been at United since the age of seven but will be a free agent in June unless he can agree a new contract.
