David Moyes admitted settling on his preferred West Ham defence for the Europa Conference League final was a 'difficult decision'.
Ahead of the club's date with destiny against Fiorentina in Prague, Moyes made two changes across his back four, with Vladimir Coufal and Emerson given the nod.
As a result, full backs Thilo Kehrer and Aaron Cresswell, both regulars across every competition this season, were forced to settle for a spot on the bench.
Coufal lined up on the right-hand side in the winner-takes-all showdown, with Emerson preferred down the left of centre back duo Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd.
