I would have hooked West Ham striker Jonathan Calleri for unnecessary rabona... an English player would be criticised for not using weaker foot

Martin 'Mad Dog' Allen returns with his latest column for Sportsmail. This month he discusses his old club, his most challenging opponent and that famous win against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

RABONA? RUBBISH!

It made me mad to see West Ham centre forward Jonathan Calleri try an unnecessary rabona when I was up at Stoke on Saturday as a commentator for talkSPORT.

He was six yards out, with the goal at his mercy, and rather than smashing it with his left foot he tried to engineer the tricky shot with his right.

It’s not right that your striker can’t hit a shot with his left foot.
