The VAR check following Craig Dawsons' 90th minute equaliser at Leicester was brief but the debate is set to rumble on after the West Ham defender controversially scored with his bicep.

Brendan Rodgers had just swapped six-foot-six centre-back Jannik Verstergaard for creative Youri Tielemans, hoping to protect a solid-seeming 2-1 lead at the King Power, when Jarrod Bowen whipped-in the Hammers corner.

Dawson rose highest but mis-timed his header, instead deflecting the ball off his upper arm for a crucial point.
