West Brom have named Kane Wilson amongst their substitutes for their season opener at Crystal Palace, should he be introduced he would become the first Premier League player born in the new millennium.
Wilson was born March 11, 2000 and would be the first top-flight player born in that year after Bury's Callum Styles, born 17 days later, made his debut in the Football League last season.
At just 16 years and 155 days old, should Wilson appear he would also be the fourth-youngest Premier League player of all time.

The 16-year-old, capable of playing at full-back or in midfield, featured in pre-season for the Baggies and has now been asked by Tony Pulis to provide back-up for the first-team at Selhurst Park.
