West Brom sign Bournemouth defender Mepham

West Bromwich Albion have signed Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham on a three-year contract.

Wales centre-back Mepham, 27, is the Baggies' sixth signing of the summer and arrives at The Hawthorns for an undisclosed fee - believed to be around £1m.

He has been with the Cherries since the start of 2019 and made more than 100 appearances in that time.

Mepham spent last season on loan at Sunderland, where he helped the Black Cats win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

He follows Manchester United loanee Toby Collyer, Krystian Bielik, United States international George Campbell, Aune Heggebo and Nat Phillips in moving to Albion under new head coach Ryan Mason.
