West Brom manager Tony Pulis keen to rekindle interest in Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez with £12m bid

Tony Pulis has reprised his long-term interest in Jay Rodriguez by making a £12million bid for the Southampton striker.

The West Bromwich Albion boss called an end to his pursuit of Rodriguez in December after the 27-year-old scored twice against Bournemouth but believes another bid could yet work.

Rodriguez has been in and out of the Southampton team but scored on his last start against Leicester to take his season total to five.

Southampton are reluctant to sell Rodriguez but Pulis is prepared to test the club’s resistance and is hopeful a deal can be struck.
