West Brom confirm the signing of West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass who becomes manager Sam Allardyce's first Baggies signing

West Brom have announced the signing of experienced West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass on an 18-month deal.

The 33-year-old former Scotland international joins after a four-year spell at the Hammers, where he spent one of the years on loan at the Baggies' local rivals Aston Villa.

His contract was set to expire in the summer, but West Ham were happy for the Baggies to take over his current deal with the option of an extra year.

Sam Allardyce's side are in trouble towards the bottom of the Premier League table, but it is hoped that Snodgrass' experience will help push them out of the bottom three by the end of the season.
