Millwall boss Gary Rowett is 'being considered for the vacant West Brom job' after Steve Bruce's sacking - with the Lions manager said to be 'keen on a return to the midlands'

Millwall boss Gary Rowett is being lined up to succeed Steve Bruce as West Brom boss, according to reports.

Last week, the Baggies parted ways with Bruce following one win from their first 13 games which has left them in 22nd place and in the Championship relegation zone.

And with Rowett having an impressive resume in the second tier of English football, it's understood that Albion see him as the ideal man to step into the dugout.

According to the Sun, Millwall are yet to receive a formal approach from West Brom over Rowett but the Baggies remain keen on securing his services.
