As CVs go, the one held by Leganes coach Aguirre is pretty impressive apart from a gap he has always wanted to fill, that of managing in England.
His one regret is turning down the opportunity he was given by West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day in 2013.
'Sometimes the train passes only once and I hope that wasn't the case,' says Aguirre from his home on the outskirts of Madrid.
