'He'll break my record' - Manchester United great Ryan Giggs backs West Brom's Gareth Barry to reach 700 Premier League appearances

Former England midfielder Barry is set to equal Giggs' record of 632 games when West Brom host West Ham on Saturday.

The 36-year-old looked like falling short of the mark after losing his starting place at Everton last season, leading to speculation he could drop down to the Championship with former club Aston Villa.

Instead Barry landed a move to The Hawthorns and is still proving his Premier League pedigree in the Baggies' encouraging start to the season.

Giggs, who spent his entire career at Manchester United, played on until he was 40 and feels Barry has plenty more left in the tank.
