Former Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer seeking next permanent role after advice from Steve Clarke

Alex will always remember the conversation with his good friend, Scotland manager Steve Clarke, when he lost his job at Kilmarnock last year.

‘He just said “you’re a manager now because you’ve been sacked. Welcome to the group,” Dyer said.

‘When he got sacked from West Brom he said that was the first thing someone said to him so that’s what he then said to me.’

Alex Dyer has been keeping himself busy since he lost his job as Kilmarnock manager

But experienced coach Dyer is not a person who enjoys ‘being idle,’ having too much free time on his hands or is frightened of work.
